So over the last couple of months, I have be filling my bin. I have included aged horse manure, as well as a lot of food scraps. Now for those of you that are new to worm composting, this is more of an advanced way to set up a bin. I have included other bins into this one so that the worms have a place to retreat to if it overheats. Most bins that are smaller cause problems with over-feeding due to the small size. I started out with a lot of cardboard on the bottom for a false bottom and added already stable worm material into the bin that the worms were used to. I have continually added food as well as a lot of carbon such as shredded cardboard as well as paper towel and toilet paper rolls. The bin has been increasing as well as getting a lot of castings inside of it.
